TF FINANCIAL SERVICES LIMITED

TF Financial Services Company Limited was incorporated in 2007 as a private limited liability company to operate as a financial services firm. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Teachers’ Fund. The authorised business of the Company involves
• Consumer Finance
• Short Term Finance
• Trade & Business Finance; and
• Subscribing to Short Term Securities

The target market of the company has been defined as salaried workers employed by the private sector and the civil service sectors of the economy. The core activity of the company involves the provision of loans to this market segment.
TF Financial Services would also extend into the provision of other financial services in response to market demands and growth potential in accordance with Bank of Ghana (BOG) licensing requirements.

TF Financial Services was established by the Teachers Fund of GNAT. The Fund is currently worth over GHC 30 million represented by investments in securities such as treasury bills, bonds, listed equities, private placements, loans and facilities to members, real estate projects and other investments. Currently, the Fund has its largest investment in loans and facilities to its contributors. This is currently valued in excess of ¢100 billion. New loans of approximately ¢9.0 billion are disbursed on a monthly basis across the country.

The Fund’s investments are in accordance with its investment objectives of investing a portion of its funds in long term holdings. It is in line with this objective that the Board of Trustees of the Fund resolved to establish a wholly owned subsidiary (TF Financial Services Ltd.) to operate as a financial services firm licensed by the BoG to provide loans to the general public. It is envisaged that TF Financial Services Ltd would eventually be converted into a Bank owned by Teachers (Teachers Bank)
